Annie & Louis
Kines Home Design began organically after two very successful home addition & renovation projects. We are a husband and wife team who decided it was time to build something for ourselves (no pun intended!) and in 2023, took the leap to begin our business. We are a boutique builder who carefully scouts out land, draws the floorplans, oversees construction, plans interiors, and stages each home. We emphasize healthier interiors and enjoy sourcing products like hemp insulation, zero VOC paint, and water based finishes where applicable. In addition, we focus on using natural materials like hardwoods and ceramics and take into account the natural beauty that surrounds each home.
Louis
Construction & Development
Louis worked for Sea Island Habitat for Humanity for 8 years, gaining start to finish knowledge of the home building process beginning with land acquisition, through each stage of construction and inspection, all the way to handing the keys over to the new homeowner. He has built over 25 new homes, overseen various renovations, project managed entire teams and builds great relationships with all subcontractors.
Annie
Floorplan Design & Interiors
Annie's background as an artist and jewelry designer paired with a lifelong love of interiors has transferred nicely into the role of floorplan & interior designer. Beginning with pencil on graph paper, she conceptualizes the entire floorplan from an aerial perspective, then focuses in more closely on kitchen layout, window placement, space planning, furniture placement, etc. She procures all fixtures, tile, cabinetry & finishes and stages each home at completion. After taking a class with the Healthy Materials Lab through Parsons School of Design, Annie became passionate about incorporating healthier building materials into each project.
